Complementary activities and workshops
The Museum offers groups a wide range of activities and workshops. During a group visit to the Museum, consider adding one or more of the complementary activities below:
Guided tour of the permanent and temporary exhibitions
For groups of 10 to 50 people, reservation required. Duration: 1h30
Discover the cultural richness of the Abenaki First Nation through the various exhibits at the Museum. Also visit Kwigw8mna, our reproduction of a traditional Abenaki dwelling (in season) as well as the community church (in season).
The tour includes:
- Guided tour of the permanent exhibition Wôbanaki: people of the rising sun
- Viewing the Legend of the Creation Story
- Semi-guided visit of the archaeological exhibition N8wat, before present
- Semi-guided tour of the temporary exhibitions
- Guided tour of the traditional Kwigw8mna dwelling (June to October)
- Guided tour of the Odanak Catholic Church (May to October)

In the company of a community herbalist, visit the Tolba “turtle” trail. Discover and learn how to recognize the traditional plants present in Odanak.

Attend the presentation of a speaker from the Musée des Abénakis.
Through a PowerPoint presentation, discover the different aspects – territories and migrations, traditions and know-how, contemporary perspective – of the material and immaterial culture of the Abenaki, a still little known First Nation.
